Armand Bombardier Museum of Ingenuity invites you to discover the world of the famous Quebec inventor, Joseph-Armand Bombardier. Combining nostalgia and technology, this museum tells the story of his innovative adventures through multimedia shows, exciting exhibits and out-of-the-ordinary activities! Whether you prefer to participate in a creative challenge, take a guided tour or discover an exhibition at your own pace (or a combination of all of these), there are lots of ways to explore the museum that will delight kids as well as adults! Your mission: to create, test and adapt prototypes so that they stand up to a series of challenges. Can you come up with ingenious solutions to immobilize a vehicle within the specified area, build a shake-proof tower or make a ball hover at the right altitude? Put your brains to the test in these activities, which are sure to stimulate participants of all ages! Discover a collection of unique vehicles For a complete experience, combine your admission to the Museum with a guided tour of the reserve, Conquest Through Innovation! Lasting 45 minutes, the tour will introduce you to a unique collection of over 70 unusual vehicles and prototypes that were never marketed. The story behind the invention of the famous Ski-Doo® snowmobile takes centre stage, as well as the first prototype made by Joseph-Armand Bombardier, when he was just 15 years old! You’ll marvel at the ingenuity of this famous inventor, whose company has made its mark on the transportation industry worldwide. Learn about the workers’ stories Immerse yourself in the captivating history of the Bombardier and BRP assembly lines by visiting Along the Line – Workers’ Memories! This temporary exhibition invites you to travel through four eras to discover the evolution of production from the original mechanical garage to today’s interconnected factories. You’ll discover artifacts from Bombardier and BRP, as well as a 1971 Olympique® 335 snowmobile.
