Explore the playground located in the northern section of Gatineau’s Parc Jacques-Cartier, and admire the magnificent snow sculptures. Experience the magic of this great winter celebration through a multitude of entertaining and exciting activities, including these three favourites you won’t want to miss! A treasure hunt that will delight the little ones The Snowflake Kingdom will also be hosting an “ice dig”! The aim of this game will be to use the tools provided to carve into a huge block of ice and uncover the treasure inside. Participants will have to use observation, patience and determination to get through. Imagine your children’s pride at the end when they succeed in extracting the coveted Winterlude prize (which they’ll get to keep and cherish!) Encourage them to take part in the Grand Blizzard, an activity where you can move and challenge yourself. They’ll have to run, crawl, climb and make their way across this course of snow, tires, tunnels and structures of all kinds! Each race will be timed, and the fastest will become the day’s record to beat. A prize will be awarded to the winner at the end of this thrilling day! A breakdance competition that will leave you speechless You’ll be amazed by this world-class breakdancing competition that will showcase exceptional talent from Eastern Canada. Breathtaking moves and beats will blow your mind at this spectacular free show where the spirit of hip-hop and street dance culture takes centre stage. Enjoy amazing solos by B-boys and B-girls, and choreography by the top dance teams from Gatineau and Ottawa.
