Make the most of the joys of fall

One of the joys of fall is the harvest! Fields and orchards – and vineyards! – abound with delicious offerings, and the weather is perfect for taking your time! The Portneuf region boasts a number of pick-your-own farms and orchards, notably for apples and pumpkins. If you’re more interested in the products made using these fruits, you’ll want to visit the many local shops stocked with delights from the region’s producers and processors. In any case, don’t miss the chance to savour delicious homemade pies during the Tartes en fête event, which runs from mid-September to mid-October.


Three days to spend in Portneuf

A day in Portneuf is great, but... it’s a very short time! The region has a lot to offer, and to take full advantage of it, let yourself be tempted to spend 3 days in Portneuf and discover the region’s beauties. On the first day, follow the famous Chemin du Roy (King’s Road) on the hunt for heritage treasures. On the second day, treat yourself to a forest walk in the Parc naturel régional de Portneuf (Portneuf Regional Natural Park). The breathtaking vistas will compel you to stop and contemplate them for a while. Finish off your getaway on two wheels by taking advantage of the mountain bike trails or the bike route built on an old railway line.
