Celebrate mushroom month in Kamouraska

From September 20 to 22, 2024, take part in the Festival des champignons forestiers du Kamouraska (Forest Mushroom Festival), a gourmet event offering a mouth-watering program. On the menu you’ll find conferences, information sessions, tours of a mycotechnology research facility, culinary workshops and food trucks serving mushrooms in all kinds of ways. To add a festive touch, there will be live music from a local folk group on Saturday evening. And don't miss Mushland, where you can learn about the world of fungi on a guided forest walk. What’s more, a shuttle service is available all weekend.

Immerse yourself in nature thanks to Terfa

Feel like enjoying some outdoor fun with family? Terfa invites you to discover the Canyon des Portes de l’Enfer (Hell’s Gate Canyon), a natural wonder located in Saint-Narcisse-de-Rimouski. Admire the Grand Falls, plunge into an immersive adventure on the Devil's Route and through the Gates of Oniria, and let yourself be spellbound by the Labyrinth of Secrets. End your day with a spectacular nighttime show that will enchant spectators of all ages. For a complete change of scenery, camp by the river or stay in a cozy cottage!

Go beluga-watching at a very special site

If you’re fascinated by whales, take the time to visit the Putep't-awt beluga-watching site, a discovery trail built on the edge of the St. Lawrence River, on Gros-Cacouna mountain. Putep't-awt, which means “Beluga Trail” in Wolastoqey, takes you to the top of the mountain, where lookouts offer breathtaking views of the river. This infrastructure, which reflects the values of the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk people, allows you to observe marine mammals without disturbing them. You’re sure to be amazed by these magnificent white whales!
