KB3 offers visitors an interpretive site showcasing mining buildings and equipment, as well as the labor of generations of workers who built the region. The tour begins in the Forge building, where the vast territory occupied by asbestos mines in the MRC des Appalaches is presented. The building's role in the mining industry and the work of the blacksmith are explained in greater detail. Visitors then move on to the Winches building. With the imposing machinery still in place, it's possible to see the important and meticulous work performed by the winch operator. The tour ends in the Chevalement building. Here, among other things, the various tasks performed by the workers before and after their shift are on display. Visitors can head to the observatory at the top of the headframe for a spectacular 360-degree view of the city of Thetford Mines and its mining landscape.
