The Ripon Trad Festival

From September 12 to 15, 2024, Ripon will host the 5th edition of the Ripon Trad Festival, an event celebrating cultural heritage in a festive and friendly atmosphere. With major headliners like La Bottine Souriante, this year’s rich and diverse lineup promises to be spectacular. The festival opens with an evening of all-female performances, followed by a show by Scottish band Talisk, marking the festival’s first international act, and a host of acoustic concerts at different venues. With a growing number of spectators attending each year, the festival has become a must-attend event for fans of traditional music.

Fall hiking

The best time to visit the region is during fall, when the natural landscapes are at their most colourful. Petite Nation features numerous hiking trails, perfect for both leisurely strolls and challenging climbs. A peaceful oasis with trails for all skill levels, the Forêt-la-Blanche Ecological Reserve is home to one of Quebec’s last remaining old-growth forests. If you’re looking for panoramic views, then a trip to Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon is a must. Perched at the summit, the observation tower offers unparalleled views of the valley and a glimpse of Mont-Tremblant.

Montebello artists and artisans

Known for its rural charm, the town of Montebello is the ideal place to meet artists and artisans eager to share their passion and expertise with visitors. To discover the village’s best-kept secrets, simply take a stroll down its charming streets. You’ll find culinary delights at every street corner, including artisanal cheeses from Fromagerie Montebello, an exceptional selection of meats from Boucherie Montebello VTM, creative desserts from La Belle Pâtissière, chocolate delights from Chocomotive, and a wide variety of beers from the Brasseurs de Montebello microbrewery.
