Éco-Musée Amérindien Mokotakan

2120, Chemin Saint-François
Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (Qc), Canada
G0X 1N0
Mauricie
The eco-museum traces the Amerindian presence for more than 5,000 years, through the reconstruction of various buildings from the 11 Aboriginal nations of Quebec. Mokotakan's mission is to share, disseminate and interpret Amerindian culture. A guided or audio-guided tour (approx. 1h30) will enable you to learn a great deal about the lifestyles, culture, history and spirituality of these peoples. This site was created out of a passion for this culture, and would not be what it is without all the natives and non-natives who, from near and far, have contributed, are contributing and will contribute to making it what it is.
