Village historique de L’Acadie
Acadie, the oldest village in Haut-Richelieu, comes from the Lordships of Longueuil, Léry and the Pères Jésuites de La Prairie. When it was founded in 1782, it was named Sainte Marguerite de Blairfindie, to please the Scotsman William Grant, husband of the Baroness of Longueuil.
