A key player in cultural and tourism development in the Lanaudière region, SODECT is one of Quebec’s leading entertainment presenters. In addition to developing and showcasing all types of performing arts, the organization aims to create unique cultural and tourist events. It also ensures the interpretation of the history and heritage of Terrebonne and the Moulins region, maintains creative and performance spaces, and organizes activities to raise public awareness and education. SODECT’s main missions include presenting shows (at Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne and Salle Le Moulinet), maintaining, enhancing and animating L’Île-des-Moulins and Maison Bélisle, and producing events such as the Festival Vins et Histoire de Terrebonne, the Terrebonne Christmas Market and the Fête nationale du Québec.
